Broken Police Cars Apparently Not a Priority

Because half of the Duquesne police vehicle fleet is broken down and in need of repair, officers have had to turn to alternative ways to answer calls. Maybe if stubby and gang spent less money on arbitrators and attorneys, the city could pay a few repair bills.

I advised my teenage grandson to go to college to
become a lawyer in order to make lots of money.

He said he wants to become a municipal lawyer and make tons of money.

Smart kid !

Everything your saying is true. What do we do. Does it take a horrific accident that kills or hurts someone, Will it take the State Police coming in to investigate Police cars that are in such poor shape , what?
The picture is very humorous how sad its true, Money is spent here day in and day out on things that make no sense lawyers arbitrators etc. Lets make change happen today! Who should be first to go?

Has this site encouraged any change?

The exits and entrances are likely only going to happen through the election process.

I would like to remain in Duquesne! I'm more concerned about the trouble in the 1000 block of Kennedy Avenue these days than the behavior on Second Street.

For one, I'm appreciative that when I DO call the police, they respond quickly. But I have avoided calling them several times lately, even though I know firearms are being discharged close to my house. We tried this a few times, and it's a joke.

There is constant drug traffic, fighting and noise nuisances almost nightly less than 100 feet from my door. I think a dog was gunned down on Friday night three doors down.

I'm hopeful that this web site encourages change for the better from government and the citizenry.

What do you expect when they promote a guy to Sgt. that should have been fired the first time for being involved in activities with underage females and alcohol. His brother is a big drug dealer too. Congrats Sgt. S#*W!

Had to dial 911 Sunday morning at 3:55 am. My neighbors thought it would be fun to run a 2-cycle dirt bike up and down kennedy Avenue while most folks try to sleep.

Where are the parents? They must not be around, or too blasted to notice!

Anyway, another citizen, a fireman in the 1100 block, also called. The police response was excellent, and they pursued these teenagers.

Of course, the teens hide in 1013 - abandoned house next to the church. And they live in 1015 and I think 1020 - not sure. But someone finally was arrested.

What's really alarming is that one of the teens yelled in his loudest voice, "F*ck the cops!" right in the middle of the street.

The bike was not confiscated. It was hidden behind the house where Schorr's used to live. That house is a trouble spot now - a noise nuisance big time, along with Dillinger's old house - 1015 I think.

Thanks for the fast response.

Well, can't say that I am surprised....I corrected one of my neighbors' sons for the same thing.....he wet his pants so I guess he got the message. Every now and then the public provides a reminder of why some kids turn into the bad adults that they do; and also that sometimes the best help you can give your kids is a good ass-beating when needed.
